Measuring the smallest thickness by Spectroscopic Ellipsometry. The smallest of the smallest thin film or nano-particles requires some special kind of measurement setup. One of them is an ellipsometer which is able to measure nanometer range thickness of any nanoparticle. Ellipsometer is an optical technique for investigating the dielectric properties of the thin film. The basis of an ellipsometry setup based on the polarization of light. In this video, I was measuring the thickness of the nanometer range titanium dioxide thin film in our nanotechnology laboratory.
