Steve Jang is one of the newest additions to the 2023 Forbes Midas List, which tracks the world's top venture capital investors. Jang is the founder and managing partner of Kindred Ventures, a $550 million-in-assets firm which focuses on seed investments and has backed household names such as Uber, Postmates and Coinbase.
However, Jang's investments are not just limited to the tech industry, as he is extremely passionate about supporting San Francisco's arts, culture and restaurants as a long time resident. Despite the huge blow to commercial real estate after the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing news coverage of San Francisco heading towards a "doom loop", Jang continues to invest in local business, which he sees as intertwined to the success of the city's tech industry.
