Quite a bit has changed in a year since I first covered this project. Kasm Workspaces allows you to access both your desktop applications as well as your favorite distros all from a browser. Further KASM Workspaces now add support for any server which can support RDP or KASM VNC. Which means you can install Windows on any machine, and access it without having to install anything more than a browser.
Browsers supported are: Brave, Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
I covered this open source project about a year ago when they were pushing updates about once every 6 months or so, however this has changed with v1.12.0, instead of every 6 months, Kasm Workspaces releases now come every 3 months.
I will cover briefly how to persist data in your sessions, and talk a bit about sharing files between workspaces as well as with other users on the system
