Highly recommend this video by my pal Lucas. It's based on my award-winning video about the 35 tribes of Canadian politics, but applied to Germany instead. He really did an expert job emulating my style, but with plenty of his own unique flourishes that put me to shame. If you want to learn about German politics, this is a must-watch! 

I have an odd but semi-urgent request I am hoping one of my friendly friends can help me out with before I post this week's video on Sunday. There is a book called "Between the Eyes" by the cartoonist Ralph Steadman I really need to get a picture from for the video, but every single library in the greater Vancouver era does not have a copy of it for some reason (even though I signed it out when I was younger, libraries often get rid of "old" books in a very unhelpful way and this was apparently one such victim).

Anyway, there is an illustration in the book showing a caricature of Gerald Ford, the former president, as a bald-headed, caveman-type character being produced on a factory assembly line. This is the picture I need. 

I thought it might be a fun test of my community if I tried just out-souring this problem to you guys. If someone can help me out and get me this picture I'll give you a SPECIAL THANKS TO shout-out in the video credits.

Who are some of the most popular Canadian YouTubers who do political/social commentary? It doesn't have to be commentary about Canada (which is pretty rare anyway), it can be any famous Canadian YouTubers who are sort of in the broad "commentary" space. You don't have to like them, either. 

On Instagram, I often get ads from companies selling millennial/gen x-era middle class Canadian nostalgia items, like t-shirts featuring logos from old Canadian brands, or like pillows and stickers and Christmas ornaments and this sort of thing in the shape of iconic Canadian consumer goods from the 80s and 90s. Junk food, school supplies, etc.

My question is, do other countries do this? International viewers: have you ever seen an online shop selling this sort of stuff in your country? Let me know any names of specific stores. It could be a good video topic someday. 

As you’ve seen in some of my past videos, I’ve been very fascinated with the degree that the Japanese have commercialized their own late 20th century nostalgia with books and toys and all that.
