Sad news. Richard Tandy, piano/keyboard player of ELO, died at the age of 76. “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my long-time collaborator and dear friend Richard Tandy”, Electric Light Orchestra frontman Jeff Lynne wrote on social media. “He was a wonderful musician and friend and I will cherish our shared memories.” Tandy had been part of the group since 1971. RIP.

Cash for Kiss!! They just sold their music catalog to Swedish company Pophouse Entertainment. According to Bloomberg news agency, the company paid more than $300 million for the rights to the music. Is it a good thing that bands sell their catalogue?
