Maurienne TV is a local television channel based in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, in the Savoie (Savoy) department in France. The idea of a local television channel was launched with the creation of the association "La Fibre Mauriennaise" (The Maurienne Fiber) in March 2007. The aim was to promote the Maurienne region using audiovisual support. In April 2010, with the help of financial support from the "Coeur de Maurienne" (Heart of the Maurienne) community and the partnership with the SOREA, Maurienne TV continued to grow. Maurienne TV's main goal is to inform viewers about current events in the Maurienne Valley: events, local products and experts, the particularities of the area, etc. Today Maurienne TV includes two journalists, volunteers from the Maurienne TV association, and an editorial committee made up of elected officials, employees, and volunteers. The channel is financially supported by the Maurienne Arvan Association of Municipalities.
