You might have noticed that I haven't uploaded any new content for many months. Why? Because I didn't feel like I had anything to say.

So I spent my time doing what I love best: teaching, reading, and thinking, and getting inspired by my students.

And now I've got plenty to say.

So starting next week you'll see me back on YouTube and all my other social media again.

I got A LOT of criticism for my recent video about Krashen's Input Hypothesis, and this is my reply to that criticism.

Last October I sat down live on YouTube to read every word in the dictionary. My dream was to raise $50,000 to build a school in Laos.

Today, after 8 months, that dream is a reality. But I didn't do it alone.

Hundreds of people from the Canguro community volunteered their time, energy, and money to make this happen. It is a testament to the power of community, and it shows that great things happen when people work together, instead of against each other.

The volunteers in the Canguro community are not rich, or special in any way except the size of their hearts.

But this is just the beginning, not the end. The first Canguro school will be built in Laos this year, but we will keep going and build more schools, and show the world the power of education and teamwork.
