10-year-old me would not believe what is happening today: I'm re-launching the Popular Science YouTube channel with two new videos, they've just gone live. I'll be posting a new video every week, from retro tech and science documentaries to science stories and amazing visualizations.

All Vsauce2 work will continue normally, and so will Mind blow and my podcast. Everyone else is retiring from YouTube, but I'm quadrupling down.

The new documentary is live with a censored version YouTube would allow. Several photos are heavily pixelated and the section on cannibalism has some audio bleeps. I don't agree with the need to censor anything in the video. None of this is helpful to me or the educational content. My new documentary is scheduled to go live today, but it's being age-restricted to 18+ by YouTube -- WITHOUT any explanation. 

I've spent 2 months working on this topic, which is about a sinister science in the mid-20th century. YouTube is supposed to timestamp the section that causes age restriction, but they have offered nothing that would even begin to tell me what the problem is. 

I am exploring all avenues of contacting YouTube to correct this and make the video available as soon as humanly possible. I've made about 500 educational YouTube videos over more than 10 years with no age restrictions at all, so hopefully I can get this resolved quickly.
