Hey everyone, this is an important message to all of you who have been supporting Transverse Audio for a long time and also those who have recently subscribed. It has been amazing helping so many people and hearing from all of you in the comments section and I truly appreciate you for all of the feedback, questions, and support you've had for us here at Transverse Audio.

I've made a hard decision to stick this channel in neutral and step down for now. I don't know for how long but it may be for a while. I will still pop into the comments from time to time to say hello and answer some questions but as far as posting new content, I may not post anything for a long time. There may be a couple more videos/posts that will be published in the near future but I guess this is bringing it to a close.

I won't be taking down the channel or videos and I plan on returning in the future. I just need to focus on more important things in life right now. I hope you understand.

As always, thanks for watching,
- Jake

Hey, I want to know what you think of my latest individual plugin reviews. I also want to make individual plugin tutorials based on your feedback from the previous vote, where it would go into detail about how to use the plugin.

With that in mind, I have some questions that I would love some honest feedback on.

Skip overview and just put details in description?

Skip features and jump right into the presets?

Play the demo song before the presets?

Hey! I am wondering what you think of my Free Plugin Review videos.

Do you want me to make tutorials on how to actually use each plugin in addition to the reviews?

Please consider honestly if you will actually watch a video on how to use a free plugin.

Thank you for the support!

Yes

No

Only for the complicated ones

I'll be publishing quick free-plugin reviews soon and will likely upload 2 per week, maybe more. Do you want me to send out notifications to you for each one or upload without notifications? Please be honest, poll votes are anonymous to me and everyone else.

p.s. I will still send out notifications for my regular videos that I've always uploaded. This poll is for individual plugin reviews specifically.

No, I don't want notifications for individual plugin reviews

Yes, only for 2 per week

Yes, up to 5 per week

Yes, but only for the first 3 individual plugin reviews

!!! Something big is going to happen on Saturday !!!

I've been working with someone behind the scenes on some content for Transverse Audio and have decided to bring them on to make videos with me!

On Saturday, July 25, I will be uploading the video with them in it.

Introducing, Mario Eddie - The new member of Transverse Audio. Mario is an extremely talented music producer and I feel he is a great fit for the channel. There is going to be a lot to learn from him, so stick around to check out his style of teaching and music production tips.

Check out his website here: https://marioeddie.com/
Hope to see you all on Saturday during the premiere!

Sorry for the huge delay with my uploads, even with all of the free time on my hands. It's crazy how much life is determined by your willpower, and right now, it's hard for me to bring myself to make videos, even though I want to.

If you are in the same place with making music or other things, know that you're not a failure and don't let it get to you too much. Break your negative habits and try to change it out for something positive.

For me, this is watching YouTube videos for entertainment and not education. I need to start replacing the entertainment with other things like going for a walk, working on something else, or just spending time off of the computer.

If you're into reading, playing sports, or other hobbies, try replacing time on the computer with it. It's easy to get glued to it when everything is shut down. I know it is easy for me!

I hope this helps you in staying creative and keeping a positive mindset!

Hey, I hope everyone is doing okay through this pandemic! If you are out of school/work, have you been spending more time making music?

What's new with you?

My company recently laid off most people temporarily because of the virus so I've been spending a lot more time on Transverse Audio. I'm actually glad to have more time to make videos and I have 2 on the go already and hope to release them very soon.

Be mindful of your own and other's well being, stay safe everyone!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to make better content and want to know what DAW you use or would like to see me use in my tutorials. It doesn't mean I'll only put out videos that are in a specific DAW either. What I hope to do is have some kind of balance in other DAWs and not just FL Studio all the time, unless that's not what you want. Thank you!
Aside: How is everyone doing in music production? Anything exciting happen in 2020 yet?

FL Studio (what I do now)

Ableton

Logic Pro

Any DAW is fine

How long before taking a break is hard to tell and there are many opinions on it. It also depends on how long you spend listening to something and can vary depending on the person's health. Try not to go for hours and hours without taking a break from listening. iZotope recommends "taking a 10-minute break every hour, or a 20-minute break every 90 minutes." - https://www.izotope.com/en/learn/how-to-prevent-ear-fatigue-when-mixing-audio.html and it's similar to what I've read elsewhere.

Don't force yourself to keep going if you feel uncomfortable listening if you can help it. Deadlines can be stressful.

All in all, don't worry too much unless you are listening to something extremely loud.
