Week 11 - Viewers chose: Split the Group and Flank them

Chaos reigned around them, but Jason's mind was a whirlwind of strategy and survival. They couldn't afford to be pinned down by the looters, and they couldn't leave Jack behind. They needed a new plan, fast.

"We need to split up," Jason said, his voice cutting through the panic. "Mark, take Karina and flank the looters from the left when I give a signal. I'll stay with Jack and provide cover fire. Trust me."

Mark nodded, his face set with grim determination. "Got it. I hope you know what you're doing."

Karina helped Jack to a more secure position behind a sturdy shelf while Mark and Jason exchanged a quick, determined glance.

Jason crouched beside Jack, his eyes scanning the chaos for any sign of the looters. He could hear their maniacal laughter and the crashing of merchandise as they tore through the aisles. They were close, too close.

"Hang in there, Jack," Jason whispered, tightening his grip on his weapon. "We'll get through this."

From his position, Jason fired a few shots to distract the looters. The sudden burst of gunfire drew their attention, causing them to scatter and seek cover. To further sell the ruse, he shouted, "We need to fall back! Head out the back!"

Without wasting another second, Mark and Karina darted from their position, moving stealthily through the shadows of the store.

The looters charged forward, their focus entirely on the apparent retreat. Jason and Jack, maintaining their position, watched as Mark and Karina looped the side of the store. Mark gave Jason a stern nod as they settled in position.

"Now!" Jason shouted.

Mark and Karina emerged from the shadows, their weapons trained on their unsuspecting targets. The element of surprise worked in their favor, and they opened fire with shots now raining from both directions.
The tide of the battle turned instantly. The looter's laughter turned into shouts of panic. Jason and Mark pressed the advantage, driving them back and out of the store.

Finally, the last of the looters fled, leaving the store in the hands of this rag-tag team. The silence that followed was deafening, broken only by the labored breathing of the team and the distant sounds of chaos from the town.

"We did it," Karina said, her voice tinged with disbelief. "We actually did it."

Jason helped Jack to his feet, the relief in his eyes palpable. "Let's get you patched up," he said, his voice steady despite the adrenaline still coursing through his veins.

They provided basic first aid to Jack's wound, using supplies they found in the store but he would need real help, and soon.

"Finder’s keepers and all that right?" Mark said, a hint of wonder in his voice. "Does that mean the store is ours now?"

Chapter 10 - Viewers Choose: Sneak in....they'll never see us

The team moved swiftly through the aisles of Trader Joe's, their movements calculated and precise. They filled their bags with as much food and supplies as they could carry, keeping an eye out for any sign of danger. Despite the apparent calmness of the store, Jason couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at him.

"We need to hurry," he whispered to the team, his voice barely audible over the rustling of bags and the hum of the store's refrigeration units. "The longer we stay here, the greater the risk of someone spotting us."

The others nodded in agreement, their eyes scanning the aisles for any sign of movement. But just as they were about to make their way to the checkout, disaster struck.

A group of armed looters burst through the entrance, their shouts echoing through the store like thunder. Jason's heart pounded in his chest as he ducked behind a display of pasta sauce, his mind racing with fear and adrenaline.

"I don’t know if were we spotted," he whispered urgently to the rest of the team. "Stay low and stay quiet."

They huddled together, their breaths shallow as they listened to the chaos unfolding around them. Shots rang out, mingling with the screams of terrified shoppers as the store descended into madness. Jason gripped his weapon tightly, his knuckles white with tension as he prepared for the worst.

Amidst the chaos came an unexpected sound. Laughter. The looters, it seemed, were not here to pillage and plunder, but rather to wreak havoc for their own twisted amusement.

With no other options, Jason raised his weapon, ready to defend himself and his team at any cost.

"oh look boys....we got ourselves a hero!" one of the looters quipped with a wide smile as he raised his rifle.

The next few moments were a blur of chaos and confusion. Shots rang out, mingling with the screams of terrified shoppers as the store descended into madness. Jack fired off round after round, his face a mask of determination as he fought to keep the attackers at bay. Mark, ever the strategist, directed their movements, his voice steady despite the chaos raging around them.

But it wasn't enough. The looters were relentless, their numbers overwhelming. Jason felt a surge of panic rise in his chest as he realized they were outnumbered and outgunned.

"We need to get out of here," he shouted over the din, his voice barely audible above the cacophony of violence. "Head for the back exit!"

With no other choice, the team sprinted towards the rear of the store, their hearts pounding in their chests as they dodged gunfire and debris. But just as they reached the exit, Jason’s heart turned ice cold.

A stray bullet struck Jack in the shoulder, sending him sprawling to the ground with a cry of pain. Jason skidded to a halt, his mind racing as he watched helplessly as his friend struggled to get back to his feet.

"We can't leave him behind," Karina cried, her voice choked with tears.
