What are your thoughts on the month of November?

You know what’s not ok? The fact that I have a 5 digit following and I haven’t said jack shit about Black Lives Matter. My perspective has immensely widened since leaving my predominantly white hometown and going to college. So many things I take for granted would give black people pause due to racism still being prominent, even in New England where it feels like we’re one of the good places. For example, I’m a big fan of night runs. It’s not a huge risk for me, but for a black guy, there’s a significantly bigger risk of being viewed as “suspicious” by the people around him. And we all know where that leads.

As a very white person, it’s so much simpler to just not think about this. But that’s not ok. One thing I’ve heard from black people is they want white people to step up and say more. So I’m trying to do my part. This isn’t a black people problem. This is an American - no - a worldwide human rights problem. If you’ve been apprehensive to speak up (especially y’all white people who have been ignoring this), just do it. Have those hard conversations. The more people talk about this the better.

I've also got at least one new video coming fairly soon. Other than that, I'm kind of at in impass. There's a lot I want to do, but many of you who joined me for Marble Blast/Platinum Quest or Battlebots are going to be dissappointed. I'm trying to come to terms with that. I want to remake this channel, rewriting the rules to allow myself to feel comfortable showing more sides of me. This channel is supposed to be an extention of myself, after all. It's also the only way I know to make videos and get any sort of compensation. I've been holding myself back thinking too much about what would happen if I try something different. Fortunately, I finally have emotional support from someone who understands being a creator. It's honestly been... pretty great to have someone to talk to about these nagging feelings.

Changes are coming. If you're here for my personality, you might like what you see. I hope you'll keep an open mind :)
