October can't come fast enough 💋 

I wrote this track late one night back in 2021 in an old, abandoned school in a tiny village in The Faroe Islands called “Tjørnuvík.” The title ‘JARÐARTRÁ’ literally means - the lust for the earth/ground but can also be interpreted as “Dust To Dust” which is the title we chose for the English translation.
The poem is written by Faroese poet Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs and translated to English by Marita Thomsen. And in this poem the earth is calling on us in the midst of all our greed and destruction, beckoning us to find our way back into her blue embrace.
When I wrote this song I envisioned the earth in its rawest elements and its endless circle of decay and growth.
The music is produced by me and Tróndur in close collaboration with the band - Mikael Blak, Mattias Kapnas, Per I Højgaard Petersen and Theodor Kapnas.

I am pleased to announce a run of very special homecoming shows on the Faroe Islands next month. The band and I will take over Sjónleikarhúsið on Dec 29th and 30th and celebrate the end of the year with a bang. It will be my first Faroese headline shows since the Segl album release shows back in 2020 and I can't wait to finally play at home again. Tickets go on sale from noon today.
