The first 'Geopolitics Snapshot' is here! Since this is a new video format, I'm curious to hear your opinions: What did you like or what didn't you like? And what do you think should be improved for next time? Let me know in the comments here or in the video's comments! 

The next video is coming soon - but this time it's going to be something a bit different.

The time in between my ‘Explainer’ videos is usually around 1-3 months. This time, you even had to wait 4 months. That is quite a long time. And although I know that many of you understand that doing all the research, drawing and editing on my own takes time, I still think that these gaps are just too big. 

To mitigate that, I want to test a new video format: The Geopolitical Snapshot! 

What is the Geopolitical Snapshot? Every now and then, I want to release a video where we take a look at current geopolitical developments, with a special focus on those developments that are NOT constantly in the news. There are interesting and important things happening all the time, but more often than not few of these developments get as much attention as they should due to some events dominating the news.  

In these videos, I will discuss 2-3 topics and try to give you a brief overview of what is happening and why it's happening. Of course, these videos won’t be as detailed as my regular ‘Explainer’ videos - but I hope that they can bring awareness to international news that you might have missed.   

Something I want to emphasize: This new video format is a supplement, not a replacement of my regular ‘Explainer’ videos. These will continue to be at the heart of this channel - but ideally we have the ‘Geopolitical Snapshot’ to reduce the time in between videos - only if you end up liking this new format, of course.
