White Lights, born Johnny Shankman, is a fairly withdrawn and melancholy twenty-something obsessed more with cosmic matters and the pursuit of happiness than with earthly monotony. Ethereal soundscapes, luscious guitars, and crystalline vocals blossom and tesselate within the context of this Brooklynite producer-vocalist's antipop sound. His most recent single Worn is out now. In 2014 White Lights released his first EP Dual-Brained¹ followed in 2016 by its companion EP Dual-Brained². He's released collaborations with Raveena (Loverfriend) and Abby Diamond (Deep, Deep, Down (feat. White Lights)) in recent years.
