KERFOR comes from "to care for". She sings and raps about things that are important to her. KERFOR switches fluently between pop and rap, between ballad and oldschool beats. Her love for hooks is always audible, but they don't take precedence over the lyrics. Her songs deal with identity issues, she deals with demands on women and asks whether love always has to mean sacrifice. Her songs are reflections, revelations, her lyrics free of violence and pejorative rap stereotypes. Always clever - and always catchy. Music has always been omnipresent for KERFOR. Like an inner hum. "Like a chant that's sometimes louder, sometimes quieter inside me," is how she describes it. So she moved to Los Angeles to study music production. She writes and produces (or co-produces) all her songs herself and releases them on her own label. This gives her the greatest possible autonomy over her music.
