I've started a new Patreon tier called Soundcheck. Soundcheck is a private Zoom meetup focused on hardware music production. This meetup is dedicated to troubleshooting hardware, answering questions about performance templates or workflow, offering music critiques, and facilitating performance discussions. It's a great way to make some long-distance, like-minded friends as well. I had the pleasure of hosting our inaugural group video call for the Soundcheck and Private Lessons tiers on Patreon, and I'm thrilled to conclude that it was a fantastic experience!  We delved into a myriad of topics, from tailoring the effects in the Octatrack performance templates to your preferences, to creating and fine-tuning scenes, uncovering shortcuts for crafting compelling samples, exploring MIDI chord generators, discussing some fascinating VSTs, pondering music philosophy, and even the serendipitous discovery by some participants that they reside in the same country and city.

Hello live hardware enthusiast! I have released a new performance template for the Octatrack called Ultimate Remixer 1.1 and it is available now on Patreon and for the premium subscribers on Discord:  https://www.patreon.com/posts/ultimate-remixer-96212467 . This template lets you record 8 bar master quantized loops and also remix your C/D input and layer slices of your melody bus on top of your live drums. It's an absolute blast to play with. 64 FX, 2 Input Compressors, Side-Chain Pumping, Master EQ, and all the works also included.

I officially released the Ultimate FX Template Overlay Sticker for the Elektron Octatrack via my webshop the other day, but I haven't shared that with my YouTube community yet, as I wanted to give supporters on Patreon a chance to snag one first. If you're a Patreon supporter, you can download the files and print all the Octatrack Template overlays yourself; there are 5 of them. As of today, only Ultimate FX Template stickers are available for purchase, but the Techno Performance Template sticker will arrive in a few days, and the rest of the templates will follow shortly. I am manufacturing them in small quantities and shipping from my boutique home shop, so the price reflects that. As for international shipping, it can be quite expensive. Even though it's just a sticker (1" x 13.4"), that doesn't mean it can be packed carelessly. I have to ship them in strong, small tubes to ensure they are not damaged or bent in any way when you receive them. This causes the price of shipping to escalate quickly, as it is not a document being mailed but a package being shipped. I am working on finding ways to reduce international shipping costs, but it's not looking great so far. Any ideas or insights into this would be greatly appreciated, as I want everyone to have a chance to snag these high-quality Octatrack Overlay stickers! Techno Performance Mixer 1.0.3 is out now! This is my newest template for the Elektron Octatrack, available on Ko-Fi.com/ezbot and Patreon.com/ezbot. This template includes 64 Performance FX, 8 Bar Live Looping,  EQ per pattern, Compressor per input bus, 8 bar automated effects, and more.. Check it out! For those of you who use my Octatrack Performance Templates I have updated the Ultimate FX Template to 1.5.2 and the Techno Performance Template to 1.0.1. The Techno template is currently a Patreon exclusive but I will be adding it to Ko-Fi after I film the tutorial video on how to use it effectively. 

Here are some patch notes from Ultimate FX Template 1.5.2:

RECORD STACKING TRICK:

1. Press YES to start a recording of both inputs.
2. Perform on either the A/B side or the C/D side by adjusting parameters or playing new notes.
3. After that, crossfade to the scene that reflects those changes. If you were on the A/B side, crossfade to scene 14; if you were on the C/D side, crossfade to scene 15.
4. Once you've done this, select the side you haven't recorded on by highlighting the Track that records the opposite input. If you recorded on A/B, highlight Track 8; for C/D, highlight track 4.
5. Now prepare to play something on the machines you haven't recorded on and press REC 3.
6. At the beginning of the next 4 bars, the recording will start.
7. After you have finished recording, switch to scene 16. Your crossfader should already be fully engaged since you started on either scene 14 or 15.

You now have a stacked recording of both inputs and new improvised pattern, when you are ready crossfade back to side A. Consider unmuting some elements before you crossfade back to add energy to your performance.

Congratulations to  ‪@FiniteStateMachineMusic‬  for solving the Octatrack Technical puzzle in 30 minutes! Here is your blue Octatrack Flat Riser and a periwinkle blue glow-in-the-dark MIDI cable from Modbang! The puzzle was how to make an 8-bar looper that disconnected from the sequencer's BPM without disconnecting the track entirely. So, a true DJ looper. You will find that looper included in my Techno Performance Mixer template for the Octatrack, which is now in beta on my Patreon exclusively.
