Episode 8 of the "Vulo Lives!" YouTube series is out! If you've been avoiding the series because you thought it was clips from the live streams, give it a shot! The numbered YouTube episodes are 100% original scripted material in the form of a variety show. In addition to the late-night style interviews, each episode has a number of other elements including cartoons (there's a whole Kelli the Kellipillar episode in one!), songs, ad parodies, and even an elaborate marionette set.

Spatula Madness is back! Thanks to everyone who has watched the new short. It’s been a while, but I love working on the series and I’m glad to be back at it. With the return of the spatulas, I thought I’d clarify something that comes up in the comments every time I release one of these shorts.

In 2006 I started working on a feature film based on the spatula characters, and I eventually abandoned the project in 2009. It was too ambitious for me at the time, and most of the script wasn’t very good. I uploaded the best parts of what I had completed to this channel - the opening scene, as well as a scene where the main character encounters a spatula who puts clocks on dead animals. I also put a few short clips on the FilmCow Extra channel.

Everything spatula-related since then (The Breakroom, The Doctor’s Office, The Pen, Perfect Business, and now the new short) has been an original short unrelated to the cancelled movie. There was no scene in the movie where a ghost warns a co-worker about a pen thief. There was no scene in the movie where a character explains hexagonal business. There WAS a doctor in the movie, but he did not pull a beautiful perfect dove out of someone’s head. The one exception to all this is “Lost at Sea,” which was a gag from the movie that I re-worked into its own short with new background art and animation.

Spatula Madness is a series I created years before attempting the movie, and it’s a series I’ve continued working on long after the movie was cancelled. I’ve got a lot planned for the spatulas in the future, and I hope you enjoy what’s to come!

Today is the 15th anniversary of Charlie the Unicorn! I made the cartoon as a birthday gift for my unicorn-loving mom, and on November 26th, 2005 it was uploaded to the Newgrounds portal before eventually finding its way to YouTube.

I made the cartoon in the wake of losing my job, car, and most of my possessions to Hurricane Katrina. I had no money with which to buy gifts, but thanks to my mom’s help I had a computer again so I could still make cartoons. I owe her so much!

Happy birthday mom, and Charlie, and thanks to everyone who has watched over the years!
