I've received a couple comments that the ombre backing for this quilt wasn't shown in the video. Definitely an oversight on my part, so I'll add a pic here. It's a sweet little quilt and is awaiting the birth of a new baby boy in a couple months.

Here are two of the three PCBs needed for today's quilt. Any ideas what it'll be? You will be AMAZED! It took me a bit to figure out how to do what I wanted. I thought I'd have to find my grandmother's slide-rule to figure out the math! This video will be out later today - so please watch for it! You have a few hours before it's out, so be sure to submit some ideas about what these will become. Hint: it takes three of these blocks to make the quilt. 🤔💡✂

Do you remember when my 'On Air' sign went up? I don't recall many, if any, comments when it was hung in January. But I did turn the light off at one point b/c it seemed so bright for viewers to look at. Then I just decided to take it down.
I recently had a comment to hang it back up. What are your thoughts?

While looking at fabric ideas for my next quilt, I came across this simple 9-Patch charm quilt top. I love the pale colors with splashes of bolder prints that add so much interest (see first 2 images). It's 80-inches square and will make the perfect quilt back for my next quilt. There are some fabulous prints I'll be using and they are along the same colorway but much more intense colors. (see last image-definitely outside my 'safe' zone!) It's fun to create a reversible quilt in similar colors but such different looks. It makes more of a seasonal quilt that you can just flip over for a different look! You can see the original quilt in this video: https://youtu.be/7IQEL7B96jE
Can't wait to share this quilt with you! Happy Quilting. 😊

Many quilters are very good about using their fabric as they go without acquiring lots of scraps. Some will even make smaller projects right after finishing their quilt so there's nothing leftover! While I'm totally impressed, that just doesn't work for me.
I don't know if I love scrappy quilting because using so many fabrics together in a quilt results in a beautiful color-filled blend of fabric that makes me smile. Or, because I've never found the bottom of my scrap pile and I just let it grow into a gorgeous bounty of possibilities. Just like a treasure chest! Yup, that sums it up for me. How about you?

Needless to say I'm working on a scrappy project right now. Happy Quilting!

Scraps? Never!

Keeping a few on hand is perfect for a small project

One bin of scraps is enough to keep me busy enough

Trimming scraps to my favorite sizes really inspires creativity

SCRAPPY makes me HAPPY!
