Mark your dance card! Saturday Feb 3rd is the premiere of "Paging Mr. Darcy" - a film I co-composed with @AnneKathrinDernComposer . Thanks to Anne for the opportunity to do a co-write with her. It was a blast coming up with themes and the movie is really great too!

Thanks also to Kenny Wood, who contributed additional music and our music editor Shayla Swanson.

Catch "Paging Mr Darcy" on the Hallmark Channel Feb 3rd 8/7c. Summary: "When an overly serious scholar attends a Jane Austen annual conference, she strikes a deal with the man playing Mr. Darcy and finds her perspective, and her heart, changed. Starring Mallory Jansen and Will Kemp."

This year I had the opportunity to work on a dream project that exercised all of my creative muscles - music composing, as well as filming & editing. In March, I journeyed to the beautiful Arvo Pärt Centre in Estonia - a sanctuary in the middle of a forest. I filmed lots of footage of the making of Salu, a new sample library. I captured some amazing drone footage too, and got to spend time with Michael Pärt, Hendrik, and my friends from Orchestral Tools. I even saw Arvo himself several times when he would just walk in the room and go about his day, while I tried not to squeal with excitement!

Then I returned home and edited many videos over the course of 9 months - trailers, interviews, and tours of the property. But the crown jewel is a 12 minute documentary called “The inward journey: The making of Salu,” which I composed the music for using only the instruments from Salu. I’m quite proud of it and I hope I was able to capture a little bit of the spirit of the place.
