Interesting counter point to today's video that I would like to share with you , that you guys brought to my attention!
The " Conflict intelligence Team (CIT)" has done analysis that states that in reality Russia is NOT producing 3 million 152 mm artillery shells per year but are in fact ONLY producing 3 million of different munitions including everything from mortar rounds, to tank rounds, including rocket and regular artillery shells all lumped together.

they claim it's closer to 1.5 million per year which is about equal to the western production rates.

However CNN / Kyiv Indepdentent / Council on Foreign Relations all reported that it was specifically 3 million artillery shells that Russia is producing......

What do you guys think of this discrepency? Was this something that was simply lost in translation and CNN misinterprented "artillery shells" as all munitions? or do you think these news sources are purposefully inflating Russia's production numbers as a scare tactic?

OR is Russia really producing 3 million artillery shells?

Thank you to the viewers who emailed me with some sources. many unironic hooahs

I have something personal to say. Rant incoming. My goal with the United States border video was to give you a report that I felt like you would be very unlikely to see in the main stream media. Most major news networks have spent decades building an audience that is either far right or far left. Those sources have a vested interest in telling you one side of the story.

I've spent years building a community of people who think very differently and who often do not agree with my own point of view. To be honest I can clearly see why creators rarely say things that will upset both sides. It's way less profitable. The chances people will enjoy the content is way less. In content creation the incentive to be objective is low. I feel like I'm only shooting myself in the foot instead of trying to double down on gaining viewers who agree with only one side of the story. Everytime I create a video that adds viewers who disagree with the majority of the content I create I'm working against myself.

The reason I write all of this is because I've noticed the "like" to "dislike" ratio on the videos has really taken a turn. People are disliking the videos far more often and I start to question if I'm simply alienating viewers instead of providing value with these reports....I start to think covering things like the Israel / Palestine / Iran topic is only drawing in many people who fundementally dislike me and the United States which doesn't feel productive. It tells me I'm likely failing at properly expressing myself.

But what is productive about an echo chamber? I specifically want to reach and hear from the people who disagree with me. Otherwise I feel like, what's the point? It is nice to hear positive feedback but I don't know I learn or grow from only talking about safe easy topics.

Recently I've noticed a lot of comments of people saying I am biased in my reports. Of course I am biased and have a point of view. But I also try to be objective when I can. I try to give both sides of the story and steel man the arguments for both sides. I feel like in order to be completly unbiased on a topic, It requires the person to be a little disspasionate. That's not me, I care about the outcome of many of these conflicts and issues. To be completely unbiased would mean I was just creating content for the sake of the content without having any real care for how things turn out one way or another.

At least that's just how I feel personally about it, I'm sure some people can be totally unbiased and put none of their perspective into something they care deeply about. I understand why someone would hit the dislike button when I say something they disagree with. I've done it too. I wouldn't like it if the youtube channels I watched suddenly made content that I was not expecting from them, I would feel like "this is not what I subscribed for"

but there are some topics that I feel strongly could benifit from a look at the different points of view.

In the newest video, I did my best to cover the issues at United States border from the perspective of the Texas state officials, federal government, National Guard, ranchers, migrants, the cities impacted, national security challeneges and the larger geopolitical consquences.

I won't cover these kinds of devisive topics often, but every once in a while I feel like I just have something personal to say, feel free to skip those videos of course. But I hope you'll still stick around anyway. That's the end of my rant. It's just been on my mind.

What is in the $95 billion dollar aid package to Ukraine and Israel? What is behind the hesitation to send more aid? long range ATACMs with 300 km range will now be made availabe for the first time, thousands of artillery shells that could change the course of the war are now ready to be sent. Find out more in the discussion with Piers Morgan, Tomi Lahren and Francea Fiorentini.

Note there was a technical issue where I could barely hear anyone in my ear piece the volume was like 2% so I could just make out the question and hear what was being said!

There's more I would have liked to get across in the panel , the fact that $9 billion of the aid package is for humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza , that 4 billion is for the missile defense systems in Israel. The notion that this is a blank check for Ukraine is not accurate it is largely an investment in the US defense production to increase artillery shell production. Whether it is justified to be sent or not is another story entirely and worth investigating but purely from a stand point of what is in the bill that's the main idea.

CORRECTIONS:
1) I said that Israel struck the Iranian embassy in Syria when in fact this point is widely debated. Israel claims it was the building next to the embassy that they hit and that no diplomats were injured and that the actual embassy building was not damaged. Several news sources including Rueters reported it was the embassy and I was lazy and did not dig deeper.

2) I said that 40 GBI missile interceptors were located in California and 4 are in Alaska, I got this backwards its actually 4 in California and 40 in Alaska.

forgive me.

NOTE: no new episode this week. I'll be back on Tuesday with an IVAS goggle update.
Side note, What would you like to know about the XM8 ?? Any interesting things you know about it that I should include in the video or any cool rabbit holes I can go down on it? Planning to release this video in May!

The XM8 was one of the prototypes to replace the US standard infantry rifle but was turned down by congress in 2006.

Was incredible to get hands on with it in Arizona thanks to Spartan117GW be sure to check out his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1gt... if you like T&P I'm sure you'll dig his work Planning to release this vid

I finally got to fully test out the Russian PKM general purpose machine gun. It was surprisingly different than the US military's M240 machine gun. It was great it some aspects that it really excelled at. There was maybe a few quirks that I wasn't a fan of like the hot brass ejected straight into my arm but I shouldn't have been waring short sleeves in hindsight. Other than that it was easier to carry around for sure.

I think I would get adjusted to its charging handle being close to the ammo can. Reloading was fast and easy, all around it was a solid weapon. I'll have a full average infantryman's review on the thing coming out soon.

I was lucky enough to also shoot the XM8, G36, Tavor, Steyr Aug, HK416 and a few more that I'm excited to release soon

Many thanks to @spartan117gw for having me out in Arizona and hooking me up with all the different weapons and ammo. be sure to check out his channel !

I felt like Kuwait was purgatory. The place between home and war. endless desert where I was. camels. bedouins (I think I didn't ask them) there is a strange feeling seeing the desert for the first time. peaceful almost. like looking up at the stars. Our unit had to stay there for 11 days while we got ready for transport to fly us into country. Eat, sleep, listen to music, go for a run. One thing is for sure....that short time felt like it lasted a year.

These goodies just arrived in the mail. PVS-14 monocular for one eye and a thermal imager for the other. The helmet is a little upgrade too way more comfortable and better fitting. I had the old school PVS14s in Iraq so it's interesting to see how far they've come since then, science is nuts. It's got that ghost white and is more crisp and HD looking to put it barney style. The Thermal imager is definitely something I wish I was issued over there. Fun to play around with the different capabilities.

One of my favorite weapons I've had the pleasure of going full send on. The Israeli IWI Galil first put into service in the early 1970's it's gotten a fair share of upgrades since then like the modern ACE version which I'm hoping I can get my hands on soon.

Looking to do more firearms videos again , would really like to know what type of unique military weapons you think have an interesting story and or engineering behind them !

It was awesome to meet everyone at the Gundies in Las Vegas. We didn't win but that's okay it was a really fun event. I got to meet Diego Aceituno one of our writer / researchers who helps a ton with the production of these episodes. Diego is a veteran an outstanding writer....and I swear he's actually 6 foot 5 that's why I look so short there!

Shot Show was also a blast, got to see all the new scopes, firearms and tactical gear. Looking forward to AUSA next!
