Have any of you guys been to the Reno Air races before? I’m considering going. Last chance to ever see it, and I live just a couple hours down the road. In your opinion if I can only pick one day, what should I come out for, and for seating, what do you think is most ideal? Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I've been using the VelocityOne FlightStick exclusively since December. Here are my complete thoughts on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUopS... For the article you can visit here: https://fselite.net/content/review-the-velocityone-flightstick/

Very sad to hear about the passing of @mattdavies . Got a chance to meet him a few times over the years. Matt was the voice of flight sim for me when I started. He added to what ultimately inspired me to create flight simulator content. Still the best intro out there! I was always so hyped for a new video. Fly high sir! A reminder to us all that life is so short. Don’t take it for granted, get out there and do what you love. R.I.P Matt.

We're on the eve of Microsoft Flight Simulator's 40th anniversary edition. How fitting the channel just reached 40K in subs! Much of that is a direct result of the popularity boost this sim gave flight simulation. So, to each and every one of you, especially the 13.6% of you that click on my videos, THANK YOU! ...I know, 40k looks cool, right? But that's the reality of engagement on a diverse interest flight sim channel. If you're a new content creator, don't stress about sub numbers. 86% of my channel views come from people not subscribed, so I can't thank them for the impact they have on my videos. But anyone that stops by to see what I'm doing, I just want you to know I see you, and appreciate all of you! Looking forward to sharing the flight simulation future with you all!

Check out the trailer I made for the soon to release //42 scenery, Camp Crystal Lake. A place you can fly to by GA, helicopter or float plane, then get out and explore the huge property. I like Halloween and flight simulation, so bringing the two together was so much fun to create a video like this. PG13 content here. Will not be on Xbox Marketplace because of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYoiL...

Be safe out there everyone! We've had an uptick in GA fatals lately. 28 fatal accidents last month. 2 of them out of my locals MCC and SMO. Both student / instructor situations. The instructor out of MCC was also a DPE. Arguably the best instructor in Sacramento. He helped so many get rated. If you ask anyone, he was THE guy you wanted flying in an emergency. Possible flat spin stall during engine out training in a G5. But it's still ongoing. They had been doing engine out training the 2 days prior. The SMO crash was a sport plane. Also on going, those sport engines tend to go nose up if the power is jammed forward and you're configured to land. Or could have been another pulling on the stick incident. They'll figure all of that out. Then yet another student/cfi accident one on the 6th in a 172. Also nose up to stall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaIt7... Not speaking to these cases but in general, pulling up in reaction to loss of power is killing a lot of people. Also botched go arounds, loss of airspeed awareness. This is a great video about training yourself to have the proper reflex. This is also something I believe you can begin doing in the sim as a muscle memory exercise. Loss of power = nose down. Point is, think about this stuff. Because when you look at the hours of the PICs in some of these fatals they are not low time pilots always. A 1500 hour pilot can still one day stall their aircraft on a go around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_tKS...
