I used to be all about Ridgid (orange) tools because of their lifetime warranty but the more I use my tools, the more I realize that every brand has some great tools. Lately I've been using Milwaukee (red) more and more. Here's a list of my favorite and most used tools. https://youtube.com/shopcollection/SCUCGRR_CnFFitYPe7s0FWikqBvwz3GzO_bYA?si=Vq-6GqxuKsdHGrmw Which tools are your go-to favorites?

A new project requires nails and the instructions specify "8d" nails. You...

Know exactly what that means.

Have heard of 8 penny nails but not "8d".

Have no idea what they're talking about.

For those of you that have a garage, how are the garage walls finished?

They're framed, no drywall.

They're drywalled, not painted.

They're finished and painted.

They're OSB, Plywood or ... other.

If you haven't tried out FLEX tools yet, they're a pretty great deal. Limited Lifetime Warranty on the tools, batteries and chargers (similar to Ridgid tools LSA) but with beefy 24v batteries and tons of power. In my tests, FLEX tools have consistently matched or even outperformed major brands like DeWalt and even Milwaukee. They're really only sold at Lowe's and they're doing a deal right now where if you buy a battery and charger for either $169 or $199, you get a tool for free. I just bought their $169 battery and charger and got a $279 bandsaw for free. Can't beat that! I SCREWED UP. I posted a video a couple of hours ago about air filters for your HVAC system. I should have spent more time researching the topic because what I posted was incomplete and had the potential of causing issues for people's A/C and furnace systems. I posted about using the cheaper green air filters to maximize air flow and reduce the work that your system has to do. Millions of people are doing this today, including myself, but I received some great insight in the comments that made me feel I need to research this better, talk to more pros about it and re-post with my findings later. The last thing I want to do is be a source of bad info so I apologize for rushing this one. I still think it's a fascinating topic and that there is a general lack of understanding (obviously on my part as well) about this topic so I will dig into this more and re-post at a future date. Thanks for your understanding and I sincerely hope I haven't caused any issues.

FYI: When I made the video private, it erased all comments so I can't even reply or see the comments any longer. I didn't know this would happen or I would have taken a few minutes to reply to all who commented and saved the good info that was shared.

SHARE YOUR STORIES, TIPS & TRICKS! I'm starting an email newsletter. The kind of newsletter I'd actually read. Great info about tools, DIY techniques, pro tips and your stories. I don't want to do a recap of all of my latest videos or a whole bunch of "buy my shirts" stuff, though I'd love to make merch with sayings/graphics that YOU want. I want this to be legitimately helpful, educational and uplifting content. And for that, I NEED YOU! I want to hear about, and see, your DIY successes! I want to hear that cool tip or trick that you learned. Let's share what's working and honor the weekend warriors (and the talented pros). If you'd be willing to share, here's a form that you can use ANY time to submit your content. I'll give the authors credit every time and I can't wait to see what you share! If you want to receive the newsletter, you can sign up at http://eepurl.com/c5vc9L (or just use our signup on the right side of the page at http://www.lrn2diy.com/ )
