Hi Everyone! I will be away from the DDB for the summer to get a break from teaching and develop work for my own career. I'll be back in August/September with some new content. Until then, KEEP DRAWING and Be well! 

After the block in, (which can be VERY basic-but clear), you can build up a drawing that has great complexity and finish! It very much helps to be clear and disciplined about your block ins, then you can add style, etc to the drawing to create the finish you want. 

My students at NKU struggle with block ins. In this demo I showed them how to keep the block ins simple-separate light from dark cleanly!
