Streamdeck is in pieces šŸ§© going to be a bit more complicated to mount than I anticipated with the touchscreen strip input ending up being a seperate glass panel.

However small win with the standing desk controls potentially being easier.

Wish me luck that the right panel of the desk comes together easily šŸ˜…

For the past few months, I've been planning out a new desk build.

It's like nothing I've seen before.

Combining elements from games & products I love into one.

It's my first time working with metal on this scale, no welding thankfully, but a great learning experience either way!

Can't wait to share this video with you, it'll go live Saturday Night šŸ˜„šŸ¤™

I bought a tech pouch and want to know what are your essentials you take to work, on trips, just out and about?

Fun fact I have two 3.5" floppy disks in mine, they have a special purpose I promise šŸ˜‚ šŸ’¾

10,000 subscribers šŸ† Thank You šŸ˜
5 years ago I went to https://YouTube.com/ and created the Cam Shand account.

I posted a video about my love for tech, then another, and another.

And here we are šŸ˜šŸ¤™

Haha okay that's very simplistic, it's been a journey and a half.

Many life changes offline have all led to where I am today, and I have to say I'm so dialed into who I am and what I want to share with you more than ever!

Big news soon šŸš€

Thanks @GamesWithSas for the balloons šŸŽˆ (Yes, that's who received the keyboard in this week's video)

From where we started to where we're at šŸš€ I almost couldn't pay rent after my first PC build back in 2014, and kept that same PC until 2018.

When my mates upgraded to the latest graphics cards and pre-ordered 4K 144hz monitors I knew that one day the time would come when it would be right for me to make upgrades.

Over time, I picked up second-hand deals on parts, and saved for years to upgrade to my current monitor. Every piece of my setup I have a strange bond with. I guess being a tech lover I truly appreciate the purpose each component has in my setup, and truly feel blessed to use them each day.

All of the 1 of 1 mods and custom builds just glue it all together to no longer be something that can be bought off the shelf and instead uniquely me.

I felt really nostalgic diving through the archives to find past setup photos to share with you in my Desk Setup video this week.

Initial bedroom laptop setup from studying IT at uni, VGA output to my 22" 1080p monitor.

Later that year in 2014 I built my first PC (i7 4770K & GTX 760) and added studio monitors for music production and DJing, a big love of mine.

We moved into a larger place in 2015 with a spare room where I spread out my setup and upgraded to a 27" 1440p HDMI monitor. The Razer Deathstalker keyboard felt natural having come from laptop keybeds, combined with a razer deathadder.

Tripple monitor overkill was the peak of screens, this is from 2017 in my dedicated gaming room (now studio) a year after I built my house. Original 22" 1080p, 27" 1440p and then a 28" 4K monitor. Upgraded to Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Reds and Logitech G502, Plus the Rode NT1 condenser microphone that you hear in the new vid.

Today, the setup is the most refined. The whopping 38" 3840x1600 nanoIPS 144hz GSYNC ultrawide monitor is incredible. Switch to MX Brown switches reduced many typos when doing work thanks to the tactile bump.
Check out the latest desk setup vid where I break down every mod and project that makes my desk setup what it is today!
Thank you for reading all of this, you're a real dude, appreciate you šŸ¤™

I'm really appreciative of my mate Trent, CEO of Phoria for getting me onboard the launch of their new Mixed Reality experience developed with Meta.

It's surreal to be one of the first people to try out a new headset like the Quest Pro before Zuckerberg even announced it at meta connect. And then to get to talk to Devs working on cutting edge technology is phenomenal.

I spent a lot of time travelling back and forth to Melbourne and editing this one, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. If you have time tonight or over the weekend I'd appreciate it if you gave this video a watch! šŸš€

My relationship with exercise has completely changed since purchasing an eBike mid-year and I've documented a couple challenges and journeys made possible by the technological benefits of strapping a wild-ass motor to a mountain bike.

I spent 3 days in Bright camping with my brother, riding the best mountain I have been able to and it was such a great trip!

It was an experiment, to go offline, tech-free for a few days.

As much as I'd love to edit the video quick smart and have it out this weekend I'm also in the final assignments of University for this year so once they're submitted next week expect a HUGE amount of backlogged content to start flowing.

Tech reviews and making custom tech is on the way šŸš€
