Constantly changing light in desert, captured with the X-T5 and XF70-300mm lens. I love using longer lenses to isolate distant details in my scene.

A Great Horned Owl landed in the tree across the street from us late last night, it and sat there for about a half hour. I've seen owls around Anchorage, but never in our neighborhood. It was quite a treat to watch before it flew off, and I was able to capture it through the window at with my X-T5 and XF100-400mm lens, handheld against the back of the couch at 1/13 second @ ISO 10,000.

Exactly 27 years ago on this day, back in 1996, I became a full-time pro photographer. It's been quite an adventure since then! Here's one of my early publications from those early years. Thanks to all my clients, readers and followers for their support over the years.

Here's a palm warbler that I photographed during my recent trip to Ohio. These little guys are pretty hard to catch in flight but I managed to grab this frame with the X-H2S, and XF150-600mm lens.

This is my favorite birding photo I shot during my trip to Ohio last weekend. I captured this red wing black bird with the Fujifilm X-T5 and XF70-300mm lens at the very end of my last day.
