After bouncing back to 4.7% in 2021, sub-Saharan Africa’s growth will slow sharply this year to 3.6%—as a worldwide economic slowdown, rising interest rates, and unpredictable commodity prices hurt a region still struggling with the impact of the pandemic. 

Growth will remain low at 3.7% in 2023.
