I have been judging some of the entries submitted for the Meta Presence Platform, and honestly, wow! I just want to say, amazing job everyone! I didnโt get a chance to review every submission, but I did review 22 of them. I was particularly impressed with the use of the real world in these submissions. Some did it in such a seamless way that it felt like just a part of reality. There were some amazing uses of hand tracking; it felt like pure magic. Great job and I canโt wait to hear about the winners this coming May 31st ๐ฅณ!

This is a HUGE deal ๐ฃ!!! Meta is rolling out networking building blocks with version (v65), and itโs as easy as just a drag and drop them into your Unity object hierarchy ๐คฏ. I saw this in action during a demo I had few weeks ago, and it allows you to decide between Unity Netcode for Game Objects or Photon. This week I spent a lot of time going back and forth between Meta XR Simulator, Meta Link, and simply using play mode without the first 2 options. One thing I realized is how much time it takes to do this repeatedly and ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด just took a big chunk of that time. Well, I recommend using ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ ๐ ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ which will cut that time significantly, specially if you are looking for very fast dev iteration which this enables when going into play mode.
