My subscribers know that sometimes I post multiple versions of a scene-- I am often unsure of how much to include. My first goal is to highlight memorable performances. Then, I like for the clips to tell a story or to suggest a story, and to set a tone. I imagine that some of my audience have not seen the film and others are viewing an old favorite. Some feature films were originally structured to make coming up with a clip easy. Others need pieces of preceding or subsequent scenes to provide impact or context. If I can't decide on a balance, I might post more than one version. Copyright restrictions sometimes limit me to a certain time length, and then I may post a scene in two parts. I'm grateful most copyright holders of films allow scenes to be posted-- usually in exchange for letting them run ads. Which makes me insecure, since I don't know what they are advertising. The products and services may be great, or they may, for social reasons, be something I cannot endorse.
