We won’t be releasing a video tonight because we had a #weddingweekend 😍 Here are just a few pics before the episode next week.

🥂 to Victoria & Duncan

💕 We'd love to hear your helpful marriage “words of wisdom” in the comments to share with the newlyweds!
We discovered there are many little miracles that happen throughout the wedding planning process.

The BEST is two families joining as one.

Although Victoria and Duncan are going to create their own home, we felt the significance of our families expanding.

We saw how mature Victoria and Duncan were in the writing of their vows and what this covenant meant to them.
We saw what friendship looks like in their wedding party - man is their group of friends dynamic and sharp!
Another was the feeling that those who have departed, were felt. In conversation we found that our florist Dennis White House Design Studio was good friends with my mom (who has passed). She would have loved being part of this process and in some way I could feel her there in the beauty of the arrangements.

Many things to be grateful for through this journey. We would love to share it with you next weekend…and then we promise we’re back on the road with a great season of RVing ahead 💕

Thanks for your continued support for our family! We'll see you next Sunday.

Is all the effort that goes into RV travel really worth it?

Let’s face it—most trips are a lot of work, and it’s not all that uncommon to have something break in the process! So is all the effort and hassle that goes into RV travel worth it?

The short answer is yes, but the “why” is more important. We’ll get back to that in just a second...

For now, an update. There will be no KYD tonight. This week, we flew back to Arizona for the memorial service of Marc’s dad, who passed while we were in Italy. With Marc being the youngest of six, and a total of 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren in the family, it took some time to plan the memorial.

The pastor told us that you learn more from funerals than from weddings because you learn how someone lived. We have found this to be true. The service was not sad for me (Marc), because I knew my dad lived where he wanted to live and enjoyed the outdoors for most of his 92 years.

Trish and I made this video to play at the service. While editing, it became clear that the footage showed countless activities that brought our family together: years spent at the lake camping, grilling, hiking, and enjoying each other’s company. While living these trips in the moment, we might have been disappointed by the weather or sand getting in the hamburgers. But decades later, we can’t recall what the weather was like—we only remember the best parts of those trips.

Maybe that’s because memories appreciate over time, while material things depreciate.

So yes... all this RV adventure and travel is a lot of work. Stuff breaks, reservations can be hard to get, weather doesn’t cooperate a lot of the time, and awnings get left out in the wind, but those “dips” are either where stories are born or they’re forgotten entirely.

Boxes and boxes of old slides were dusted off this weekend. Our kids could not believe the quality of the images. Seeing the photos from my dad’s life was a reminder that most trips were not epic once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Most of the trips were visits to nearby Lake Powell—a local spot for us, as Arizona natives. This is why we keep saying, “Start Small, Start Now”. The size of the RV or the distance from home is the least important part of the adventure. Making the time is what matters.

Several years ago, Mike sent us an email thanking us for the “start small” message.

Hey Marc & Tricia - have watched you both from the first clumsy funny videos and my wife and I loved watching your vids every Sunday night.

I have contacted you and thanked you before for being the sole reason why we quit saying "someday" and jumped in and bought our rig in 2017.

As you all used to really focus on in the beginning, there will never be a "right time" to get started, and just do it - don't wait for that perfect scenario.

Well, we did (part-time) and had a friggen blast for years with getting out there and being in it - I am able to work from anywhere, so I spent a lot of time on webinars from the beach :-).
I write this to not only thank you, but to ask you to remind your viewers to go get it - get after it - don't wait...
You see, my wife died suddenly (and unexpectedly) 51 days ago (Jan 15th).

We were married in 1988 at just 18 and 21... In my incredible grief, I find comfort in the fact we went for it with our dream of RVing.

We went where we wanted to go, and when we wanted to go, and lived the way we wanted to live... 100% because I happened to stumble across a family on YouTube who put their lives not on hold, but PLAY and never looked back.

Thank you both for the kickstart we needed... Love to you both and the family. -Mike

It’s not always easy to make time for recreation, and it might not even seem important in the moment. Often we don’t understand the significance until much later.

Perhaps this is why my dad’s service was not sad. He wrung out every last bit of boating, hiking, skiing, and family time from the place he loved most: Lake Tahoe.

Starting small now is better than starting big later—or never.
We’ll catch you next Sunday with one more episode from Italy before our season recap. In real-time, we’re already preparing to clean the Airstream for the adventures ahead.

Although it wasn’t a great reason to get the band back together, it was nice seeing all the kids. We don’t always get to choose how these moments happen, but we enjoy them when they do.

No KYD tonight 🥲 We’ve been on our pedaly bikes since last Sunday riding across Iowa in the RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa). 500 miles in 7 days experiencing one of the most unique events ever. This will be a 2 or 3 part mini series that we’re excited to share with you soon!

We had the great fortune of meeting Winston along the way and rode with him since the second day. He is an impressive individual that we know will inspire many.

Here are some pictures of what is to come, but next Sunday, we’ll be back in the beautiful Nova Scotia with a couple more episodes before Trish #Beelines it from Ontario Canada to Sioux City, Iowa.

Sorry to miss you tonight, but look forward to connecting again next week! For real-time updates, follow us on the Gram 😂

No KYD tonight 🥲 We’ll catch you next week when we’re back on the road (finally) and headed to Canada! 🇨🇦 We’ve been busy wrapping up the Bungalow and visiting Victoria in Arizona for operation wedding dress. The house siding starts in the morning. Then exterior paint and we’ll be ready for the daily Florida rain!

Next week’s episode should have a little of everything as we prepare the Airstream for the season and pack for Canada, the Midwest and droping Caleb off at school in August. This is going to be a big year and we can’t wait to get started!

KYD will be back next Sunday. Sorry, we'll miss you tonight!

This week, we took a winter break to attempt a vertical feet ski challenge with Joel from Harvest Hosts and raised money for Care Camps It will be a fun episode to share and with so much gondola time with Joel, we were able to ask him some questions about Harvest Hosts and what's on the horizon.

This entire winter camping week has been amazing (and difficult) and we have some winter camping tips to share with you soon. We still have another winter storm advisory ahead so we're not out of the woods yet!

Oh, and Tori joined us on this trip so we got to catch up with her and ask the top questions you asked on Instagram.

Here are a few pics of what's to come. The Classic Airstream fins did eventually melt off with little help from the hose.

More to come. See you next week!

🛎 Reminder that there is no KYD tonight. We’re still on our "pedaly bikes" from Michigan to Florida. Join us next Sunday from Glacier National Park with @FindingOurSomeday and then Devil’s Tower & Mount Rushmore the following Sunday!

Here are a few pics from our 1,400 mile bicycle adventure that you can follow daily on our Instagram account. https://www.instagram.com/keepyourdaydream/ Just click the first highlight reel titled “Bike Ride”.

Trish and Wendi are doing an amazing job of driving the rigs (solo), setting up and tearing down, backing, navigating, route planning, cooking, cleaning and being the best Sag (Supplies and Gear) team ever! Many people have asked how far we ride each day. Between 80 and 100 miles, depending on the hill climbing. You'd think Michigan to Florida would be relatively flat, but the total climbing is over 50,000 feet. This should be a fun mini-series when the channel catches up in December.

Big thanks to @grechrv for providing Bill & Wendi a stunning STRADA-ion Class B for them to use during this adventure. We'll be sure to do an RV tour and also get Wendi's first impressions of solo driving with little to no RV experience. Using RVs to support other hobbies has been a fun aspect to capture. We couldn't imagine doing this ride any other way.

Thanks for tuning into KYD each week. There are still a couple more National Park Blitz episodes to go!

When is the last time you laughed until you cried? Have you noticed that memories that seem to last forever often have more to do with who we're with than where we are?

More times than not, it's the silly unexpected activities that create a situation where we laugh until we cry.

That's what #SummerToRemember is all about! We actually do a lot more than we think. Writing it down and checking it off helps us celebrate the little joys.
Download your summer list here 👉 https://www.keepyourdaydream.com/summer-list

A few years ago, we wanted to take a trip with our friends (no kids). Naturally, the conversation evolved to all the amazing places we could go and fantastic things we could do. When we look back, some of the best memories were making dinner together and sitting around the table with each other!

Maybe some of the recent changes will end up creating some of the best #summertoremember memories ever!

SummerToRemember Shirts are Still Available! https://www.keepyourdaydream.com/summer There is still time to grab your summer gear and we have many new styles too!
