Hey legends,

A bit late, but just wanted to say thankyou for 100k :)

2023 was absolutely brutal to me, so it was really cool having this channel as a creative outlet I could come back to, have some fun, and escape the real world.

So, genuinely, cheers for watching and talking movies with me. It's just a hobby, so it's still baffling to me that ANY people think its worth watching, let alone 100,000, but....yeah, it's been fun. So thankyou. :)

As an aside, I never really watched anything on YouTube before starting this channel in 2021...(honestly, I was never a 'YouTube' guy - I was too busy watching movies instead)....so it made me really sad to see that most of the 'Movie' content on YouTube was slanted towards negativity - lots of people yelling "This Movie Sucks" or "Why Movies Are Bad Now". And while constructive criticism is completely fine (there are lotssss of bad movies), the sad reality of YouTube is that outrage leads to controversy, which generates discussion, which pushes the video in the algorithm, which ultimately leads to more $$$ for the creator making the video. That's the cynical truth. Negativity pays, it's easier to make content that "punches-down", which creates this online bubble where it feels like no one likes movies anymore.

Therefore it's really heartwarming that so many of you seem to want to watch my videos, because I think it's wayyyy more fun celebrating the weird and wonderful things that make movies great.

Anyway, I'm working on a few scripts at the moment, but the next video (check the 2nd slide for a hint..) will hopefully be up in a few weeks.

Here's to a much luckier 2024!

Cheers,

Obviously had something else planned, but have spent the best part of two weeks hanging out with this guy's filmography.

Like a lot of people, probably one of the most formative fictional character's on my personality/sense of humour, but I've been trying to identify exactly WHY he was such a unique comic presence.

So yeah...that's up next :)

Wholesome Update!

Got absolutely destroyed by this sickness over the last month, but after seeing a heap of doctors and a getting lot of rest, I've been cleared of all the 'worst-case' scenarios and finally starting to recover.

Thanks to everyone who reached out and all your kind words on the last post - genuinely means a lot and helped out when I was feeling a bit down.

And in better news - Social Network vid should be dropping in the next 48 hours sometime - hopefully Sunday in the US :)

Cheers,

Jack x
