Lots is happening in the vast and dark universe and ZTF is there to see it! ZTF stands for Zwicky Transient Facility - a large camera mounted on the 48-inch telescope at the Palomar Observatory in Southern California, managed and operated by Caltech. ZTF has a very wide field of view and scans the entire sky every three days in search of cosmic flares, flashes and anything else that changes in the universe. Funded by the National Science Foundation and partners from around the world, ZTF will produce a unique survey of cosmic transients allowing astronomers to expand our knowledge of the dynamic universe.
