For those who don't follow me on Twitter, just letting you all know that my wife gave birth on the 24th of March (earlier than we anticipated) which is why I have not been very active online. The birth was by c-section so my wife is on bed rest for the next month and I'm taking care of my daughters while she heals along with having a lot of sleepless nights (absolutely worth it though). Basically consider this as my short term paternity leave. 

Sue and the baby are doing great, the birth went amazing with no problems or complications, better than we could hope for. So obviously I am taking a small break but the main channel will continue as usual since I have some videos pre-recorded, the second channel however will go on a temporary hiatus until my wife is healed and I am able to get back to work. After that it is business as usual and I have some huge videos planned this year.

Thank you so much to everyone for all your well wishes and support, I'll be back at it soon right after I enjoy a nice break spending time with my ever growing family.

Hello Everyone,

Going to be doing a slight rebranding of Absolute Mad Lads. When I say rebranding, pretty much everything is going to remain exactly the same. All I will change is the thumbnail style and removing "Absolute Mad Lads" from the video title so I have space to give a small explanation of who the Mad Lad is.

I'll be honest as to why. When we do a well known Mad Lad the video always over-excels in views and stats, but the problem we are having is when the Mad Lad is obscure and all viewers have to go on is a name in the title, they are going "who?" and not clicking the video, (if you look at the views of our past videos you can actually see what I mean) and since we want to cover a lot of obscure Mad Lads as well as very well known ones, this is causing some problems for viewership. Even though all our videos get very positive feedback and like ratios from the people who watch them, we obviously need to do more to actually make people interested in more obscure Mad Lads and get them to click the video and sometimes just a name isn't enough to do that.

An easy way out would be just to cover popular and well known Mad Lads but that feels like a cop out, so instead of doing that we are focusing on making the more obscure ones better presented so they can earn your attention.

We aren't fortunate enough to get the same treatment as other similar channels who get a little/lot of love from the algorithm, we get almost no help from the algorithm at all, so little changes like this are necessary so we can keep doing what we do for as long as possible and keep giving you the content that you come here for.

So pretty much everything will remain exactly the same, apart from the changes I said above. Stay tuned because we have some pretty big Mad Lads planned this year.
