Hey guys, I wanted to let you know that I just released a new chapter for my Elementor course.

This one will be perfect if you’ve been struggling to wrap your head around the container because I’m going to mainly use the container to explain everything around layout and positioning.

I know many people struggle with how to place things in their designs. And I understand because it’s quite challenging, especially for responsive modes.

The container has more options than Sections & Columns, so it can feel like a monster to work with…

Personally, I’ve been testing and playing around with the container since the first beta came out (1.5 years ago), so I am confident in using it now, and I’m using it already on clients' sites since it’s stable enough.

You can see exactly what videos are inside this new chapter by going to the sales page and scrolling down to Episodes: https://livingwithpixels.com/elementor-course

Can’t wait to see you inside :)

Hey guys, I got a lot of great reactions to this email about website pricing that I shared with my email list subscribers, so I thought I’d share it here too (you can sign up for my email list at the bottom of this post):

Determining the price you sell your websites for is one of the most challenging but important parts of being a freelancer, and there is a lot of nuance that goes into it.

Firstly, you need to realize that you have a very valuable skill.

Websites are crucial for businesses nowadays, and a good website can seriously help a business out and even grow.

That means you can charge a lot if you do it right.

Now, what you absolutely shouldn’t do, is make yourself a commodity, like most freelancers on websites like Fiverr and Upwork.

Their framing isn’t the best, and they’re competing on price with hundreds of other web designers.

And while it is a straightforward way of getting clients, and it might be a good place to start, I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a serious career as a freelancer or agency owner.

You see, the “perceived value” of the websites these guys will build is low...

Firstly, because they already reveal their price, and because they don’t stand out.

So how do we stand out, and how do we make our clients realize the value of what we can build for them?

There are a few ways we can do that:

- A beautiful portfolio website that shows your expertise and experience.

Spend a lot of time on it, and make sure it looks very clean and professional, after all, you’ll be doing similar work for your clients.

- A professional Instagram profile (or other social media platform with images) that looks good and showcases your work, check out one of my latest YouTube videos for tips on how to build an Instagram portfolio.

- Sounding like a professional in your communication.

Talking to clients is much like talking to a romantic partner you’re interested in, you can’t come off as needy or creepy, and you have to be confident in your value and in what you want.

This comes from experience, and deeply understanding the software you’re working with.

- Identifying your clients’ problems.

As a professional, it’s not just your job to design and build a website, you also have to consult your prospects, tell them when you think they’re wrong (In a polite manner of course), and try to figure out what it is their business needs.

This shows confidence, it shows you care about your prospects’ business, and it shows you want to help them instead of just taking their money.

- Make sure you do research about your clients' business before you are in contact with them. Asking questions is fine, but avoid questions where you could already have the answer by just analyzing their previous online communication.

- Having a professional-looking email and email footer. So don't email them with your Gmail. Get a professional domain email and a nice little design with your logo at the bottom of each email.

- Make sure you spend some time making your offer PDF look visually good. Even if the content isn't that good yet, the way you display everything in your PDF matters.

As you can see, running a business, or being a well-paid freelancer, is not just about your design and building skills, the “soft skills” listed above are way more important in determining the amount of money you’ll make.

Because speaking to businesses in the right way…

Showing up as a professional…

And showing prospects what you’ve done in the past, are all skills you will need to develop to become successful as a web designer.

Do these right, and you could ask a lot more money for a website.

Well, here we are guys, I told you I would launch my Elementor Pro Mastery Course in June.

This course has taken me much longer than I wanted, because of personal reasons and because Elementor kept changing the container, and it's still not done. I do feel guilty about it, but I didn't want to wait any longer because I promised to launch it in June.

So I decided to do a pre-launch with a massive discount as a way to give something back.

You can already watch 2 chapters, which are full of content about dynamic content. After that the Container chapter will be released, and many other chapters, like responsive design, how to speed up your workflow and much more.

So if you want to level up your Elementor skills and you want to take advantage of the early bird pre-launch discount then check out my video on this page where I explain all the details: https://livingwithpixels.com/course-elementor-prelaunch-announcement/

Hey guys, Crocoblock has a birthday sale until the 31th of May, which is a pretty big discount (25%) for the package that I still recommend.

The reason why I say "still" is because Elementor has been pumping out a lot of features last year and that sometimes replaces the need for using Crocoblock. Think about the: Loop Builder, Mega Menu and the new Woocommerce Cart & Checkout Widgets.

But if you want to create any Elementor website that has filters (Woocommerce or CPT), then Crocoblock is still the best option with JetSmartFilters. Also building an advanced search field that searches through CPT's with categories is still not possible with Elementor Pro, so therefor you need JetSearch from Crocoblock.
I haven't made any new videos on Croco lately because I'm been busy with my Elementor Pro course, but I am planning on making new ones in a few months.

I think the Freelancer lifetime package with 500 licenses is best for most of us. That's now $562. Remember that you can easily charge your clients an extra $250 if the website requires Crocoblock. So be smart and let your clients pay for the software.

The pricing page: https://crocoblock.com/pricing/?ref=394&utm_source=livingwithpixels&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=birthday_sale_2023

Make sure to not forget to add the coupon code at checkout: crocoturns5

Have a nice week guys!

Great news 🎉. I am going to interview the Chief Product Officer of Elementor soon. This is huge, because he can really influence the product of Elementor itself. I talked to him on Wordcamp US (in San Diego) and he agreed to do an interview with me.

This interview will be done later this month.

As you guys know I love Elementor but I'm also critical. For example I think that ...

...we are still missing some essential features in the builder.
...their speed of development hasn't been what it used to be, I wonder why.
... they are trying to serve too many audiences at the same time.

If you have questions for Elementor's CPO then please leave them down below and perhaps I can include them in the episode.

Note: Don't be too specific on certain widgets or something, because I want the interview to be broad.

Do you want to take your web design business to the next level? Then it's smart to take action this weekend (Most deals are valid from Black Friday until Cyber Monday).

The list of software that I use for my web design business hasn't changed much. Here is that list

- Elementor Pro (still the most complete pagebuilder in my opinion): https://livingwithpixels.com/elementor (Discounts up to 30% for the plugin, not a big fan of their cloud yet)

- Hostinger Hosting (they surprised me with their performance): https://livingwithpixels.com/hostinger (Discounts up to 80% for 4 years!)

- Siteground Hosting (still a solid hosting option): https://livingwithpixels.com/siteground (Discounts up to 86%, but only for the first year)

- Crocoblock (still essential for many dynamic websites even with Elementor's loop builder): https://livingwithpixels.com/crocoblock (Discounts up to 40%, I recommend their Freelance plan)

- iThemes security (if you want an extra layer of protection for each client website): https://livingwithpixels.com/ithemes (Discounts up to 40%, but it's quite expensive)

- Ultimate Addons for Elementor (some handy widgets for EL like table widget, toggle, form stylers, timeline): https://livingwithpixels.com/uaelementor (Discounts up to 50%, but just get the Cheapest lifetime package for $174) (forgot to include this in my video as well)

- Figma (best design tool right now): https://livingwithpixels.com/figma No Black Friday deal and the free plan is good enough for most solopreneurs

- ManageWP (Manage all your WP websites): https://livingwithpixels.com/managewp No Black Friday and most of the features are free anyways.

Or just check out all the deals on: https://livingwithpixels.com/links/

Happy shopping!

Figma or Adobe Xd? Guys, I have been thinking about this. I know that Adobe bought Figma, so maybe Figma will be gone in the future, but I think this is not going to happen any time soon. So for now I just want to know. Would you guys rather have me create more videos about Figma? I want to see if I have more Figma fans or more Adobe Xd fans in my audience. Press vote below.
