If you follow us on Instagram you probably know why we didn’t post this weekend 😅😬…..We have been on an epic road trip through Oman 🔥 and can hardly wait to share this special series with you 🫶🏼 But first, we lived out of the Cybertruck “basecamp” tent in Joshua Tree!! 🤯 Video coming this Saturday!! ✨ 

Nate turns 35 today!!! 🎂 5 photos with a caption could never sum up who Nate is or what he means to me. But these are some photos from this past year that capture a lot of who he is ;) wild, adventurous, hardworking, funny, loving, and did I mention adventurous? Never a dull moment with this guy! He’s all or nothing in everything he does, and it’s one of the million things I love about him. No dream is off limits. No idea is too crazy. No bed is too cold. No food is too weird. No climb is too scary. No work is too hard. I don’t know how he does it, but I do know that my life is so much better because of him! I have to mention he’s brought me coffee in bed every single day for 10 years, since the day we were married. So it’s hard to say no when he wants to bike across America, survive on a deserted island, ride mopeds across Peru, sleep in ice caves, etc ;) happiest birthday to you my darling Nate 💝🥰🫶🏼😚 

Just wrapped up 168 hours of train travel 😍🤯 We rode coast to coast of the US on Amtrak, crossed the border into Vancouver, then all the way back across Canada on Via Rail! 🚂 But after a week of shakey squeaky beds, we’re pumped to be sleeping in a hotel tonight 😂🙌🏼 We’ll post the first ep of this series this weekend! Nate and I slept in 159 different beds in 2023, meaning on average we packed up our stuff and moved every 2.3 nights. I kept a running list on my phone all year ➡️ swipe to see some 😄

(That’s including a couple months of van life, where ‘technically’ we were in the same bed…but still in a different place each night 😅 so I say every 1.9 is our avg but whatevs)

We slept on planes, trains, and boats…on the sand in a handmade shelter, in frozen ice caves (TWICE), on cold airport benches, in hammocks on the beach, on wooden decks of tribal jungle homes, in mud huts surrounded by guinea pigs, on box spring mattresses….just to name a few 😄

But that list also includes first class lie flat beds 🙌🏼 and extremely cozy hotels, airbnbs, and home stays. 

We love to juggle the extremes at both ends of the spectrum. Nate has never done anything halfway ;) And I love it this way.

However at the beginning of 2024, we made the decision to take a little break to recharge after 8 straight years of full time traveling. For the first time, I felt like I had hit my limit. I was tired and sad and stressed but ignored it until I actually broke down. 

And I did NOT like this version of myself. I had to finally admit to myself that it was ok to be living my dream life, but also need a break from it. I was scared of what people would say and the judgement that could come my way from complete strangers to me.

But I am so excited to say that we have slept in the same bed without packing or moving for *40 DAYS IN A ROW* 🙌🏼 and even happier to say that we have received an overwhelming amount of love and support during this time. Thank you for your patience and kind words 🙏🏼

There were still some unexpected things that came up during these last 40 days that didn’t make it the “dream break” I was expecting, and we’ll tell that story eventually. But for now….

We are on officially on the road again and PUMPED for 2024 adventures!!! 💃🏻🌎🤸🏻‍♀️ 

We are hiring for a *dream job!!* ✈️🎥🌎 That’s what we’ve been calling it, because back when we first started traveling and making videos, this exact position would have been our absolute dream! 😊

We are going to pay one lucky person to travel the world for 6 months and make videos!!!

This person is going to be the face of ​⁠ @faredrop    - which is our app that sends amazing flight deal notifications from your home airport (or any 10 airports you choose in the US and Canada) to destinations all over the world! 

This person’s job will be to:
*book a new FareDrop deal every 2 weeks
*fly to wherever that deal takes you in the world
*film and edit videos of your trips for the FareDrop YouTube channel and other socials
*live their best life for 6 months 🥰

Our goal with this job is to show that these FareDrop deals are real 😍 And how sometimes you just have to “let the deal decide the destination” 🩵 

Some of our absolute favorite travels have been to places that weren’t exactly on our radar, but we ended up there thanks to a cheap flight. And once we got there, we never wanted to leave! They are genuinely some of our most treasured memories. 

We are overjoyed about this opportunity and cannot WAIT to see where this person goes!

Happy new year fam 🤍 Sorry it’s been awhile since you’ve heard from us. We’ve been soaking up time with friends and fam over the holidays with no cameras. Plus it’s *extremely* difficult for me to sum up another insane year of getting to travel the world in just one post, so…

After scrolling through thousands of pictures on my phone from the last 12 months, here are a handful of behind the scenes selfies from 2023 that never made the feed :) For some reason those are the ones that stuck out to me the most and made me smile 😊 

Thank you all for being a part of our lives. We are so grateful for everyone who follows along and supports us in so many ways. We don’t take it for granted. Pumped for another year!💃🏻🕺🏻

This was our 8th year of full time traveling and making videos, and not gonna lie…it’s starting to catch up with us a little 😅 Very much looking forward to a winter break! 😌

Thank y’all so much for traveling “with” us this year. We uploaded 48 episodes across 25 different countries in 2023…any guesses how many beds we slept in?! 🤯

We're trying something new, and we just wanted to give you a heads up! Unfortunately, we don't have a new video for you this week. We needed a little R&R after the bike trip 😵‍💫 

And since we don't have a new video to post, we decided to try a little experiment...

We smushed ALL 6 videos from the bike trip together into ONE 4 hour long video that shows the whole journey from start to finish! 😍 We think it will be fun for this journey to live on YouTube as one giant movie for years to come, and we're curious what the algorithm is going to do with our longest upload ever!

If you haven't binged the bike trip yet, hopefully this makes it a little easier 😁
