It’s a hospital week here for us, so there won’t be any videos until next week. 

That's a wrap on Cannonball for the Cure 2023.
The UFD Tech community has now raised over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS for Syngap research.
That's a number that I could not have even fathomed the day that we got Emmitt's diagnosis.
His life, and the life of every other Syngapian, has had their trajectory fundamentally lifted and transformed because of the tech community.
While Emmitt's seizures still remain, in fact they got worse while I was on road, we're now one day closer to the moment he stops having them.
I could have never done any of this alone. I'm thankful for every Syngap family member who fights for their loved ones. Every community member who chatted to keep us entertained in the wee morning hours. 
Thankful to Peter for being my co-threepeater. Thankful to Reece for sacrificing for my family on any continent he's on. Thankful to Monica for going out of her comfort zone and doing everything she can to take care of Jaxon. Thankful to Kyler for flying solo across the US to help us make the trip back.
And of course, thankful to my wife, Sydney, for holding down the fort while I galavant across the country.

What would you do if you found out your child had severe epilepsy & you've watched them seize sometimes 1,000+ times in a single day?
What would you do if you watched your child suffer every day of their life, but they can't tell you how badly it hurts
What would you then do if you found out the thing standing between them getting treatment was money & awareness?
I'm so thankful that I have the job that I do because I'm in a unique position to bring awareness to my son's rare disease and raise money to fund research.
I know that I make light-hearted YouTube videos about tech, but I never lose sight of the mission.
I make computer videos so that every day we can bring my son closer to a reality where he doesn't suffer.
Every episode of Hot News, every GPU video, every live stream is all building towards a future where Emmitt can use his words to call me dad. A day that I'm still waiting for.

One day, we will  @CureSYNGAP1 . It's not today, but today was another step towards it.

In case you’re following along with my 3-month fitness journey to beat  @Mrwhosetheboss , I managed to hit my goal of running a half-marathon only 3 weeks into the challenge. 
I think I might want to aim for a marathon by the end of August instead.
I’m also currently down ~6 lbs & 2% less body fat with 2% more muscle.
Overall huge success so far in June! 

My son was granted a wish from Make-A-Wish. Excited for him to get to enjoy it & super thankful for non-profit organizations like Make-A-Wish that help brighten up children’s lives.
