The Texas Corvette Association has invited my @Cybertruck (and me) to be the centerpiece display at the upcoming 20 April 2024 31st Annual Open Car Show in downtown Boerne, Texas. The Cybertruck will be displayed along side a Time Machine DeLorean and many hundreds of classic cars all through the downtown and Main Plaza Park areas! It should be a great show and I’ll be flying my drone too! Hope to see you on the 20th!

As a reminder, my schedule will be disrupted next week due to the Solar Eclipse and having many family members and friends in town through the week. 

I will not fly at Giga Texas on Monday (8 April) or Friday (12 April) and I may (or not) fly on Wednesday (10 April), depending on what my guests are interested in doing.

 I plan on being back and flying on Monday, 15 April and resuming my normal schedule from that point until the next Starship launch, which might be the first week of May (TBD).

With just three weeks away from the solar eclipse, I thought I’d let you know my planned schedule and how this will affect my Giga Texas drone flights.

I will return to Giga Texas action on Wednesday, 20 March on my normal schedule

5 April will be my last Giga Texas video before I take a week to spend time with friends and family coming in for the eclipse. I may, or may not, get in a drone flight that week, probably Wednesday 10 April, depending on if my guests want to go up to Giga Texas.

15 April I return to my normal schedule of Giga Texas drone flights

Sometime in late April (or more likely mid-May), Starship flight #4 will happen and I plan on being at that too, but it is too early to say the dates right now

I have other events I plan on covering throughout this next month too, including wrapping up the Tesla Roof install and then releasing the videos from start to finish, Cybertruck informational videos, some Space related videos/interviews and possibly a project called Cyberplex. Including Giga Texas, I’ll definitely be keeping busy!

During the times I’m not flying over Giga Texas, Jeff Roberts and Brad Sloan will fill in any gaps

Just a quick announcement/reminder. I will not be flying at Giga Texas tomorrow, 5 February 2024 and will instead be flying on Tuesday, 6 February. Brad Sloan and I have swapped normal drone flight days as I have a friend coming in from out of town tomorrow. 

If all goes well, you may see a rare back-to-back drone video from me on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then again on Friday this week. 

Weather in the Austin/Giga Texas area today is not ideal for drone flying so it’s unlikely I’ll be driving up as would normally be my schedule. I’ll try again on Friday. Don’t forget it’s Teslas 3rd quarter and yearly financial results day. 

Hey everyone!  The wintery and very cold weather that came through Texas is nearing it's end this time, and despite the forecast sunny day tomorrow, temperatures will be below freezing until mid-afternoon tomorrow. Also, with Giga Texas production and construction paused for the weather, I've decided that I will not fly tomorrow and will try again on Friday.



In the meantime, I've been asked by Ellie in Space to help provide a NASA Artemis program and Starship HLS (lunar lander starship variant) update on a live stream tomorrow afternoon (1:30 PM CST or 1930 UTC). There has been several updates provided by NASA, SpaceX and we even got a few more during the Everyday Astronaut Astro Awards that pertain to Starship testing and development planning.

As a heads up, because of this amazing opportunity and the extremely cold weather expected on Monday, 15 January, I will not be doing a drone flight on Monday as I’ll be getting home very late from Austin and the conditions on Monday will not be conducive to fly. 

A strong weather front has come through the Giga Texas area bringing high & gusty winds. This makes flying a drone too hazardous in my opinion. I’ll delay a few hours to see if conditions improve, but I may end up not flying today, 12 January 2024.

I’ll update you on what I decide to do a few hours from now.
