🇬🇧 Do you know why “Piano Day” takes place on 28 March this year? It’s the 88th day of the year- and a piano has 88 keys!

Composer Nils Frahm founded Piano Day in 2015 as a way of uniting piano players and fans on a day devoted entirely to the instrument.

For this year’s event, we will be taking you to the Palais de Tokyo in Paris for a special evening exploration of the keyboard. Europe’s largest contemporary art museum will welcome pianist and singer Sarah McCoy, virtuoso pianist Thomas Enhco in a duet with singer Clara Ysé and Guillaume Poncelet in a two-piano performance. To round off the evening, electro artist and multi-instrumentalist Léonie Pernet will perform alongside the ingenious Gael Rakotondrabe.

Nils Frahm a créé le Piano Day afin d’unir les passionnés du piano lors d'une journée entièrement consacrée à cet instrument.

Pour la 5ème édition de cette soirée dédiée aux claviers, direction le Palais de Tokyo pour une déambulation musicale ! Dans cet espace dévolu à l’art contemporain, vous aurez le plaisir d’écouter la pianiste et chanteuse Sarah McCoy, Thomas Enhco, pianiste virtuose en duo avec la chanteuse Clara Ysé, Guillaume Poncelet dans une prestation à deux pianos et pour finir la soirée, une rencontre entre l'artiste électro et multi-instrumentiste Léonie Pernet et l’ingénieux Gael Rakotondrabe.

Außerdem mit dabei sind Thomas Enhco, ein virtuoser Pianist im Duett mit der Sängerin Clara Ysé, Guillaume Poncelet in einer Darbietung an zwei Klavieren und zum Abschluss des Abends tut sich die Elektrokünstlerin und Multiinstrumentalistin Léonie Pernet mit dem genialen Gael Rakotondrabe zusammen.

Launched in 2020 in response to low female representation in the classical world (only 4.3% of professionals in 2019, now at 8%), La Maestra brings together 14 talented candidates at the Philharmonie de Paris under the oversight of conductor Nathalie Stutzmann.
