I'm so excited to share this beautiful duet featuring the exceptionally talented Jan Pouska.
Collaborating with people I deeply admire and respect in this job is an absolute delight, so when Jan extended the invitation to join him in this song, I couldn't have been more thrilled.

Thanks so much, Jan, for all your work on this one.
Let's do more!

A few years ago, my darling sister sent me an antique Victorian book of Scottish poetry she found on one of her treasure hunts. The book, dated 1891, holds a collection of poetic gems that trace their roots as far back as the mid- 1600's. As a mad nerd for history, poetry, and my beloved Scotland, I'm so in love with all of them, so here's my first musical attempt at my favorite poem in the book, 'The Tears of Scotland' by Tobias Smollett.
Written in 1746, this hauntingly sad poem narrates the tragic tale of the Battle of Culloden and the Highland clearances, which saw 150,000 Highlanders forcibly removed from their homes and their beloved Scotland forever.
I hope you enjoy this one šŸ™‚

I'll never tire of crafting songs for the eerie, sinister, and mysterious, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you who guided me toward the chilling folktale of La Llorona. This Mexican legend, known as 'The Crying Woman,' tells the haunting tale of a vengeful ghost who is said to wander near bodies of water, mourning the children she tragically drowned in a jealous fit upon discovering her husband's infidelity.
La Llorona's story is deeply ingrained in Mexican popular culture. It is often shared with children as a cautionary tale, warning them against venturing alone in the darkness near lakes and rivers. Much like the legend of Black Annis, she's a chilling figure, but there's a deep sadness to her tale, so I wanted to try and craft a song that captures both her malevolent and mournful aspects, intertwining grief and horror.
I hope you all enjoy this song, and thanks again for your awesome Halloween song suggestions. Please feel free to continue sharing your ideas with me, as I love discovering new stories to inspire me, especially creepy ones!

I'm incredibly encouraged and inspired by how many of you are enjoying 'Black Annis' and by the feedback asking me to lean more into my creepy stuff because this is the music I live to make. Dark, sinister, and mysterious subjects are my favorite leaping points creatively. So I'm all ears; if you ever come across any weird, macabre folktales or stories of monsters or ghouls that you think would make an awesome Karliene song, I'd love to hear it.

Gaaah! šŸ˜¬ I forgot to set my new song to 'public,' so I do apologize if you couldn't watch and listen. I woke up to zero views and thought my career was finally in the toilet. That was a bloody wake-up!
I really hope you'll take the time to listen to my latest creation and I so hope you enjoy it. Your support means the world.

I can't tell you how proud I am to feature on not just one but two enchanting compositions within the captivating new medieval album by Roxane Genot. Among these musical treasures, this particular song stands out as an exceptionally special project that has brought me much joy throughout its creation. I am the biggest fan girl of Roxane's work, after all ā¤ļø
I hope you guys enjoy it.

Hey guys. My new song premiers in 8 hours or so, but if you don't want to wait, you can head to my website or my Patreon and get the track now. šŸ™‚
This song takes inspiration from the captivating new HBO series and video game, 'The Last of Us', exploring the relationship between Joel and Ellie as it evolves and matures. Their story deeply touched me, as did the beautiful tale of Frank and Bill, which made me cry very, very ugly tears. Did anyone else love that episode so much?
I was a mess by the end šŸ˜
My goal was to create a song that captures a sense of bleakness, emptiness, and loneliness while showcasing the gradual growth of trust and affection between the characters. I aimed to slowly build everything, mirroring the progression of the story. Although it was a challenging song to create, I think I'm proud of the final result, and I really hope you enjoy it as well.
Thank you all for the support! šŸ™‚

It's so good getting back into fan songs again, and I'm having a blast writing this one for 'The Last of Us,'. It's called 'Something to Fight For' and explores the bond between Ellie and Joel and how they navigate the challenges of the post-apocalyptic world together.
I'm still recording and producing now, but stay tuned for updates, and thank you all for your continued support!
Hopefully, this will be a good one! šŸŽ§

Thank you for the beautiful reviews and feedback on my new album, Wake the Witch. I can't tell you how thrilled and overjoyed I am that so many of you are listening to and embracing this new collection of songs. Even though it's wrapped up in a witchy aesthetic, this album is a lot more personal than my others, so I've felt quite vulnerable putting it out into the world. I needn't have worried, though, as the response has been so warm and very touching. I'm a very lucky lady, and I'm so grateful for you all.
The album is now live on Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, etc. I really hope you all continue to enjoy it.
