What REALL happened between Israel and Iran tonight...
It's not what it looks like. 

Everything we know so far about the Israeli strike in Iran: 

1) Air force base in Isfahan was targeted 
2) No nuclear sites were attacked 
3) limited strike via 3-5 drones 

What’s going on: 

The response seems to be extremely limited by design. The unspoken deal is probably as follows:

1) Iran gets to get away with direct Israel attack by not causing any damage. Good PR back home but no war with the US and Israel. 

2) Israel will get green light to go into Rafah in Gaza, and will perform a symbolic strike to check the box. 

3) US gets to close this chapter and prevent from oil prices spiking which would destroy inflation and lose the upcoming elections. 

Think of it as a three way trade in the NBA 🤣 

Iran's Bizarre Actions Just Screwed Itself, Russia and China 

Israeli sources confirm that an Israeli attack on Iran is a question of time. The Israeli have made a decision not to allow a sovereign country to fire hundreds of missiles and get away with it without a response, regardless of outcome. 

The scope of the response is unclear. The U.S. issued a statement they will not stop the Israelis from responding and will not intervene in sovereign Israeli decisions. 

The timing is unknown, probably days away. Maybe a bit longer. The date will be determined based on strategic needs not political issues. 

Losers and winners:

1. Region - losers - escalation into a regional war is now possible and even probable. 

2. Iran - losers - got exposed by Israeli air defense. Lost international credibility. May get hit hard but mostly will look weak if Israelis get some damage done along with 0 Iran damage on Israel.

3. Israel - tbd - currently leading after the success of blocking Iran strike. If regional war erupts a different ball game. To be determined. 

4. U.S. influence and deterrence on region is at all time lows and that needs to change for long term strategic needs of America in the region. 

5. Russia - big pickle. If Iran gets into a war with the Israelis there goes the Iranian weapons and drones supply to Russia in Ukraine. Russia needs this to de escalate. 

6. Saudis - need the Israel defense treaty more than ever. Abraham accords more likely vs before October 7th.

BREAKING: The decision is made. Israeli sources confirm: a harsh and clear response will be carried out by Israel towards Iran. The Israeli Air force is preparing a strike plan. The date of the strike is unknown at this time. The strike will be designed not to cause a regional war and to be acceptable and approved by the U.S.
