Here's what you need to make this burger:
Ingredients
10 ounces White button mushrooms, cleaned, stemmed and coarsely diced.
10 ounces Ground turkey, 93% lean
1 tsp. Olive Oil
½ tsp. Freshly ground black pepper
½ tsp. Kosher Salt
5 100% whole wheat hamburger bun
5 slices Tomato, ¼” sliced
5 leaves Romaine lettuce
5 slices Avocado, sliced
Directions
1. Coarsely dice mushrooms and sauté in medium heat with olive oil until tender. Let cool for 15 minutes.
2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, ground pepper, kosher salt and sautéed mushrooms.
3. Portion turkey patties into 4 oz, place turkey on a grill or sauté pan for 5 minutes on each side until it reaches to 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Place on bun and top with tomato slice, romaine leaf, and 2 slices of avocado.
