I have been wanting to film the process of cutting out the rib nose pieces, and remembered in the nick of time: these are the last 8 rib noses I should ever need to cut.
The noses are made out of 1/4" thick mahogany aircraft plywood. The template I'm using is 3/4" thick MDF, which was carefully formed by hand with a paper copy of the shape glued to the top, and trimmed bit by bit on a belt sander. The same template was used for all 50-some rib noses, so they should be as near identical as I can make them.
Note: the timestamp in the video is hilariously inaccurate: this was filmed on August 14, 2018.
