As heavy rains pound various parts of the country, the Uganda Red Cross Society says it has set up standby teams to effectively respond to disasters like floods. Speaking to NTV, Robert Kwesiga the Secretary General of Uganda Red Cross Society said they have at least 500,000 first respondents country-wide. Kwesiga, however, says the agency is yet to recruit divers to beef up the team.
