I had a lot of questions during one of my recent build series episodes about what tool I was using to install metal connectors on our porch. I have been using the Fasco Metal Connector for quite a while now...over a year actually to install all of our joist hangers and metal connectors with what I have always called TICO nails. They are those little 10d nails that always manage to have me cursing when I hit my fingers installing them. By far the best way for us to install joist hanger nails, is with this gun!
The gun isn't cheap, it uses gas, and it's much bigger than my original Bostich pneumatic gun, but I still choose it first due to its efficiency on the jobsite. This doesn't mean it will be the best fit for everyone, but I can say it has been very reliable.
