Well, it's fall in New England again. One of our favorite seasons here. But it also means time to start planning our snowbird trip south. We learned a lot from out trip last year in 2022, both in how we like to travel and how to keep your plans flexible, to accommodate weather, as well as spending more time in places we like.
When planning our trip from New Hampshire to Texas last year, our final destination was visiting family near the gulf coast of Texas during the coldest months. We also had two stops we wanted to make along the way.
• The first was Williamsburg Virginia visiting family and old Williamsburg,
• the second, Red Bay Alabama where we planned to have some work done on our rig.
• Otherwise our plan was have short drive days of 4-5 hours between these milestones, and try not to have too many one night stands along the way.
Here's a look at some of our stops, and our experience traveling south while dodging the coldest weather.
Keep Smiling and Be Kind.
