RAID 0 (disk striping) is the process of separating a body of data into blocks and spreading the data blocks across multiple storage devices. Striping spreads data across more physical drives, and multiple disks can access the contents of a file, enabling writes and reading to be completed more quickly, so when one disk fails, the other disk also will fail along with it.
