An alert has been issued to all UK children over a sextortion epidemic. Police warn that foreign gangs, mostly from West Africa and Southeast Asia, are targeting kids in the UK for blackmail. This comes amid calls to ban mobile phones for children and stop young teens from using social media. Celia reveals what it was like not having her phone for a week. While she said time away from her phone was good, she believes 'social media can be a good thing.' And, Jonathan Haidt believes that smartphones have ignited a 'wildfire' of anxiety and depression amongst young people around the world, by granting them 'continuous access to social media, online video games, and other internet-based activities.'
