Want to hear how effective the active noise cancellation is on the Bose QC25 headphones on an Airplane, in an Office, at a Bar, on the Street, etc? I love these headphones for reducing the ambient noise levels around the home and at the office. I haven't seen any reviews demonstrating the capabilities of the QC25 in different environments so I conducted a not-so scientific test myself. As you'll hear the headphones do a great job cancelling most noises but higher frequency noises such as talking will still get through. This is the case with all ANC headphones as far as I'm aware and cannot be avoided. But if you turn on some music in the background it will help drown out any leftover noise. Also keep in mind that some of the noises we hear are caused through vibrations through our body (like the noise when someone knocks on your head). Obviously these headphones won't cancel those noises and you will never have an absolute dead silent experience with today's active noise cancellation products. I highly recommend these headphones.
