No one knows how many soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022. A few weeks ago, President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Ukrainian military death toll was 31,000, but independent experts say the real number is probably much higher. Russia doesn’t release numbers.
