FULL ENGLISH SUBTITLES. In this interview, Prof. Hahnel talks to After the Oligarchy about an optimal/efficient plan in Parecon, accounting in socialism, enterprise incentives, worker control, and consumer satisfaction.
In 1991, Robin Hahnel & Michael Albert proposed a vision of a democratically planned economy, neither market socialism nor central planning. Practical and principled in equal measure, Participatory Economics (Parecon) demands our attention.
Robin Hahnel is a professor of economics and co-originator of Participatory Economics. He has authored many books, including Democratic Economic Planning (2021), Of the People, By the People, Green Economics, Radical Political Economy, and ABCs of Political Economy. New book 'A Participatory Economy' coming out summer 2022.
