Lil Wayne's former tour bus driver Alvin Lewis testified in the Young Thug / YSL trial today (May 6) about the April 26, 2015, shooting of his bus as he drove away from the Compound nightclub in Atlanta.
Thugger's lawyer Keith Adams cross-examined him, and he focused in part on Thug's lack of direct involvement in the shooting. He also asked Lewis about the lawsuit he's filed that seeks $30 million in damages.
Thug was in Louisiana performing the night of the shooting. Prosecutors say members of Thug's Young Slime Life gang went to the Compound as part of their gang activity, and Jimmy "Peewee Roscoe" Winfrey shot the bus on behalf of YSL.
Adams is trying to show the jury that the connections just aren't there. Winfrey was convicted of the shooting and is also charged in the RICO indictment. He's to be tried separately .
